Creative Director Jess

Happy Work Anniversary Jess!

Celebrating two years as Just Bee’s Creative Director

It’s hard to believe that it’s been two years since our Jess decided to take the leap and became Just Bee Social’s Creative Director after working alongside founder Leanne for only a few months – and we wouldn’t be where we are today without her!

If you ask any of our clients, they’ll know Jess straight away as the first port of call for any questions or requests. As a part of the team, Jess is the resident ray of sunshine, brightening up our day with a silly pun or hyping the team up for our latest ‘Just Bee Well’ challenges.

What inspired you to join Just Bee Social?

Really it came down to Leanne, her vision for the business, her passion for building a company that we enjoyed working at and her belief in me. Before Just Bee Social, I was working at a medium-sized marketing agency, feeling like a cog in a wheel with no creative outlet and often told off for chatting too much in the office. Leanne gave me a chance to explore new skills, get stuck into creative projects and put my chattiness to good use.

What’s your favourite thing about your job?

My favourite thing about my job is collaborating with the team, I love when we all bring our talents to the table to produce a creative piece of work. It’s a proper privilege to work alongside a team of strong women, it really does bring me joy.

What’s been your favourite project so far?

It’s really hard to pick one, there’s been a LOT of exciting projects, we’ve produced some mega results for our artificial grass client, generating over £400k for them is pretty satisfying.

Finally, Who would be your dream client?

Great question. My dream client would be a brand that’s brave, disruptive and ready to take risks to make their mark on social. I love what Monzo Bank do building a relatable community, Duo Lingo go down the meme route, social isn’t about selling it’s about connecting. So, in answer to the question, my dream client would be Spotify. Their Spotify Wrapped feature is one of my faves and I’d love to build on it.
